Corrections Policy

We want Alto to be accurate. When we get something wrong, we fix it.

What we correct

Alto aggregates reporting from third-party publishers. Factual errors within an original article are the responsibility of that publisher and should be reported to them directly. Alto promptly corrects errors in the content we produce, including:

  • Story summaries and excerpts generated or edited by Alto
  • AI-generated analysis attached to a story
  • Headlines, source attribution, categories, dates, or other metadata
  • Broken links or misrouted source URLs

How to report an error

Email [email protected] with the URL of the page, a description of the issue, and a link to the correct information where possible. We review reports and, when a correction is warranted, update the page as quickly as we can.

How corrections are made

Minor fixes (typos, formatting, metadata) are made silently. Where a correction materially changes the meaning of Alto-produced content, we update the content and, when appropriate, note that it has been revised. Stories that no longer meet our editorial standards may be removed.

Removal requests

Publishers who wish to have their feed removed from Alto, or rights holders with a valid takedown request, can contact [email protected] or follow the DMCA process.
