3 Things to Know about ‘Brink of War,’ the Movie about Reagan, Gorbachev and the Cold War

Ronald Reagan, the president who reshaped modern conservatism and helped bring the Cold War to an end, is enjoying a moment in popular culture.The 2024 biopic Reagan, starring Dennis Quaid, brought the 40th president’s life to the big screen and became a box-office success. That fall, PBS re-aired its two-part American Experience documentary (Reagan) chronicling his life and presidency, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of his death. Around the same time, a major new biography of the Gipper, Max Boot’s Reagan: His Life and Legend, hit bookshelves.And now another movie about Reagan, Angel Studios’ Brink of War (PG), is out in theaters.
