Alto aggregates recall notices from official U.S. government sources (CPSC, FDA, and NHTSA) and links to each original notice. Recall data can change; always confirm the affected products and remedy with the official source before acting. This page is not an official government notice.
Food recalls move fast and can affect products already in your kitchen. This page aggregates the newest FDA food and beverage enforcement reports — contamination, undeclared allergens, mislabeling — with the recalling firm, classification, and a path to the official FDA record.
Class I recalls involve a reasonable probability of serious health consequences; Class II and III cover lower or remote risks. Alto refreshes throughout the day. Meat and poultry recalls from USDA FSIS are a separate system and may not appear here.
Common reasons for food recalls
Bacterial contamination (Listeria, Salmonella, E. coli), undeclared allergens such as milk, peanuts, or wheat, and labeling errors drive most FDA food recalls. Distribution lists and lot codes in the official notice tell you whether a specific package is affected.
What to do with recalled food
Do not eat it. Follow the disposal or return instructions in the FDA notice, and clean surfaces if contamination is the stated reason. Keep receipts if a retailer offers a refund.
FDA vs. USDA coverage
FDA covers most packaged foods, produce, dairy, and dietary supplements. USDA FSIS covers meat, poultry, and some egg products. If you are looking for a beef or poultry recall and do not see it here, check USDA's recall listings as well.
